  1. Maxillofacial surgery\u00a0<\/strong>This is the branch of dentistry that deals with all conditions of the oral cavity requiring surgical treatment. It is a complex medical branch that combines aesthetic surgery (correction of excess tissues and dento-maxillary anomalies) and oncological surgery (excision of intraoral tumours, removal of cysts). Maxillofacial surgery is most often performed in specialised hospitals, requiring hospital admission and constant medical staff assistance.<\/li>

Dento-alveolar surgery<\/strong>\u00a0This is a dental medicine specialty that can be practised in a dental surgery\/clinic and which deals with the study, prevention and treatment, including surgical, of dento-parodontal conditions.
