Chirurgie bucco-maxillo-faciale\u00a0<\/strong>C'est la branche de la m\u00e9decine dentaire qui traite toutes les affections de la cavit\u00e9 buccale n\u00e9cessitant une intervention chirurgicale. Il s'agit d'une branche m\u00e9dicale complexe qui allie la chirurgie esth\u00e9tique (correction des exc\u00e8s de tissus et des anomalies dento-maxillaires) et la chirurgie oncologique (ablation des tumeurs intra-orales, retrait des kystes). La chirurgie bucco-maxillo-faciale est le plus souvent pratiqu\u00e9e dans des h\u00f4pitaux sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s, en hospitalisation, car elle n\u00e9cessite l'assistance permanente du personnel m\u00e9dical.<\/li>

  2. Chirurgie dento-alv\u00e9olaire<\/strong>\u00a0Il s'agit d'une sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9 de la m\u00e9decine dentaire pouvant \u00eatre exerc\u00e9e au sein d'un cabinet ou d'une clinique dentaire, qui se consacre \u00e0 l'\u00e9tude, \u00e0 la pr\u00e9vention et au traitement, y compris chirurgical, des affections dento-parodontales.
