Surgery

Dental Elite experience

The treatments carried out by a surgeon are diverse, going beyond the scope of a dentist's competence, and fall under medical surgery.

Dental surgery is divided into:
  1. Maxillofacial surgery This is the branch of dentistry that deals with all conditions of the oral cavity requiring surgical treatment. It is a complex medical branch that combines aesthetic surgery (correction of excess tissues and dento-maxillary anomalies) and oncological surgery (excision of intraoral tumours, removal of cysts). Maxillofacial surgery is most often performed in specialised hospitals, requiring hospital admission and constant medical staff assistance.

  2. Dento-alveolar surgery This is a dental medicine specialty that can be practised in a dental surgery/clinic and which deals with the study, prevention and treatment, including surgical, of dento-parodontal conditions. Among these dental treatments, we list the most common ones below (procedures that will be able to be carried out from APRIL with complete safety and at our clinic): • Dental implants • Sinus Grafting (internal or external)
